Work-Work Balance

He wakes up early in the morning
Off to work, where he is all day
Returns really late, late at night
Tired, exhausted and overwhelmed

His role as a father compromised
His duty as a husband daunted
Even as a servant in His temple
All because of the ever busy schedule

The pursuit of money to meet the needs
Of the same family he neglects physically
If he stays at home, they will starve
So he goes out, they starve other things

He can’t help with the children's assignment
No one to attend their PTA meetings
Even his conjugal responsibility to his wife
And visits to the extended family

The children do not see their daddy
The wife, her visiting husband
The relatives, their son and in-law
And the community, their kinsman

God save him, from this present reality
The busy schedules he keeps
To the impairment of his health
And detriment of the same for which he does them
